Lori

I have a question. Is it possible for someone with BPD to manage to control their outbursts around people they do not want to alienate and save all the rage and extreme behavior for those closest to them?

I can't tell if my brother truly has a mental disorder or if he's just an inconsiderate jerk who uses outbursts and threats of suicide as a manipulation tool to extort money from our poor mother.
